How Powell Lenses Work

A Powell lens is a precision aspheric optic for laser line generation. It converts a collimated Gaussian beam into a line with more uniform energy distribution, reducing the bright-center / dark-ends effect common with ordinary cylindrical lenses.

Typical applications include machine vision, 3D profiling, industrial alignment, PCB inspection, and automated measurement. Products can be selected or customized by input beam, wavelength, fan angle, and mechanical size.
